Ohau Wines

Ōhau Wines is all about harmony – with the land, the sea, the people and the community. The winery, based at its namesake town of Ōhau in Horowhenua, has been living its values and producing award-winning wines since 2009. 

Ōhau approached Greenwire to create a retail area for the existing website. It needed to fit cohesively with the rest of the site and reflect Ohau’s commitment to quality and care. 

I designed the online shop with a highly flexible product view, so the Ōhau team can customise listing with tasting notes, awards and other details. As a point of difference, I chose to display the bottle images horizontally, to suggest a wine cellar stacked with gleaming reds and whites. Practically, the horizontal display also means the images can be generous, even when the page is compact.
